Danny Thompson, son of Mickey Thompson, has a need for speed is satisfied, when you hit the salt in his Ford Mustang of 1300 horsepower. Thompson had previously recorded a top speed of 252 mph, but recently returned to the flat land in an attempt to mark 300 kilometers per hour. Problems arose as Danny past 260 mph. The car began to lift and he fell to about 264.7 mph. Danny and his horse traveled 1,100 feet before returning to the salt and the car fell further before coming to a stop.
