Lotus confirms the end of 2013 CityCar

Lotus City Car Concept
Dany Bahar is the most talkative lately. Among the clatter of F1 and its dubious relationship with Toyota to develop the next batch of production cars, the head of Lotus not for a moment, and most curious is that one of the projects that you are working is also one that seemed less important. The CityCar Concept, this prototype that appeared only fleetingly in the city of lights to not taking a backseat to the new family of sports Hethel, Bahar has been confirmed by the CAR magazine, and even have a release date: October 2013.

So, Lotus will have its own supermini, and what is more, there will be a third manufacturer involved in its construction, OEM level. We've known for some time that Lotus was involved in a project to develop an urban model in collaboration with Proton, the Malaysian parent, but the entry of a new partner gives strength to the rumors that Nissan may be stuck in the garlic, maybe to provide the platform of the new Micra as a skeleton.
