Classic prototype: Opel Astra Coupe OPC Xtreme 2001

It is unusual for a brand of cars that are not traditionally been dedicated to building sports, the overnight, build one. That's why some prototypes like the one we present today call us so much attention, even knowing that everything was finally in a mere car show for obvious reasons could never reach dealers.

The Opel Astra Coupe OPC Xtreme presented in 2001 at the Geneva Motor Show as a hypothetical street supercar based racing sports at that time competing in the DTM (German touring car championship). The first thing that attracted attention is its aerodynamic body kit, lowered his body almost to touch the asphalt, a huge spoiler, a diffuser with four tailpipes and a suggestive opening doors gullwing.
