Toyota Recall 2011
Toyota, no time to boast of being the largest automaker in 2010, announced a massive recall with global reach and effect on 1.7 million cars, both Toyota, and Lexus. Most of them are concentrated in Japan.
The campaign, which according to Toyota launches without any accident, it transpires, is motivated by two different defects: a failure in the fuel pressure sensor (which could loosen over time), and another fuel pump.
Most cars called the workshop were sold in Japan but sold in 5900 Avensis Spain between 2000 and 2008 should be revised to replace a pump valve and a sleeve. In Europe, the Avensis affected are 135,000. Other models appearing on the list are the Lexus IS250 GS300/350 and (sensor fault), and the Toyota RAV4, Townace, Crown, Noah, Voxy and Isis.
