World record of the Mazda MX-5: best-selling two-seater sports

The Mazda MX-5 is the world's best selling two-seat sports car. Our support in the face of the narrow segment has relatively low numbers: The total production of the MX-5, which is called in Japan "Mazda Roadster", reached on 4 February 2011, number 900,000. By comparison, in Germany alone, every year approximately 250,000 shares are sold VW Golf and Jetta. From VW beetles were even built over 21 million.
