Revealed, among other things, the Shanghai Motor Show, the Volkswagen Beetle has already some plans for the future.
Volkswagen has created the event around the presentation of its new Beetle. Unveiled simultaneously in New York, Berlin and Shanghai, the German small thinks big. The manufacturer plans to use his arrival for the decline in version A.
With this new generation, VW wants to mitigate the feminine image of the Beetle. A more powerful version would attract a younger and seemingly more masculine. For their part, officials are convinced that the VW Beetle 2011 has the lines that call sportsmanship.
Lower and wider than its predecessor, the benefit of a 2011 Beetle rigidity "refers in its class" by its designers. We know that a 2.0 Turbo Sport 197 hp version is planned but R should provide even more power.
If for the moment VW refuses to go into details, inside sources have said that the Beetle R would show performance comparable to the Scirocco R & Golf R. We can therefore expect 250 horsepower and a 0 to 100 km / h come in under 6 seconds. What make us impatient
Volkswagen Beetle: R version soon?
